Blog Activity 2 : Locating Teacher Resources.

I would use Clickers in classrooms as more of a review system for my students. We could split into teams and play a review game using the clickers. This way the students are reviewing for a test but not having to write out a review and answer questions, unless they wanted to. Rewards for the students can be extra credit points!! This would give the students a little more incentive to actually answer the questions. In this role the teacher is more like a facilitator, since I would not be lecturing to the class. Instead the answers would be coming off of the screen. Even though I may have created the questions for my content area I wouldn't be the only thing teaching them.

The second thing I would really use in my class room would be teaching with tablet computers/online projects. With dance There is a huge amount that I could do with recording dances , editing music, researching about multiple dances form different countries ect. There is even an app I have get on the tablets the slows down dance steps so the students can analyze them. Once again endless opportunities on projects using the tablets. Teaching students to cut music using specific programs can come in handy in the future for projects.

  1. I think clickers in the classroom is a good idea. As you stated, it allows students to review for tests and cut back on writing every question and answer. This way if students have a hard time answering the questions or they don't really understand it, they can always ask you questions to get a better understanding. That is a great review strategy. Your second resource is also a good one. Using tablet/computers to implement learning is helpful. As you said you can research different things about the subject you teach. There are different apps and websites that will help students do things outside of what they already know how to do.

  2. I think clickers are a great tool. I choose them as well. I love your idea in giving bonus points. I think in any class when a student hears bonus points they get excited and want to pay more attention haha When it comes to reviews, they can be tedious and turning it into a game makes it fun and easier on everyone. Your idea for incorporating the tablets into dance is so neat! In teaching students, it is so beneficial to breakdown the information and provide visuals. Awesome ideas!
